What I have so far & CG preview.


While I'll be talking about the game's development a lot on Twitter, I wanted to have some formal dev logs here on itch to reassure you that I'm hard at work! Speaking of, let me detail what I've got done for this game so far.

First of all: the "common" route, AKA the story leading up to the point where you decide what route to go on and the plot branches, is completely done. It's fully written, all art is drawn, it's been coded, music and sound added. It's 100% complete. Of course, that said, I may decide to go back and make minor alterations to character dialogue or story beats based on decisions I make down the line in development. But either way, there's a solid three to four hours of gameplay that is pretty much final.

Beyond that, the story so far, including route splits, is around 80k words. The final project will probably be close to, if not more than, double that. Of course, some story aspects will be shared between routes, not just because certain events happen regardless of who you decide to date, but frankly it helps to reduce the otherwise massive scope of a project like this.

As for art assets, I have all the main character sprites complete, many backgrounds done with more to go, and a good number of CGs (scenes with custom art for certain events) complete. In fact, the image I've included today is a CG from Tyzian's route. He asks you for help rebleaching his hair, and look at how happy the two of you are together! His tattoos have been very fun to conceptualize and draw.

When the project is getting closer and closer to a completed state, I'll start to think about things like exact release day and maybe even a demo. But no promises just yet! Now if you'll excuse me, I'm headed back to Word to write a particularly steamy scene between Ebelle and Simone. Thanks for reading, and take it easy!
